Francesco Cochetti FCI judge
Francesco Cochetti is born year 1963 in Rome, Italy, in a “dog family”. His father was a judge and bred together with his mother Poodles with the prefix “Della Perla Grigia”.
His affix “Di San Gimignano” was recognized by the Italian Kennel Club in the end of 80's. He started by breeding Poodles. Francesco Cochetti began to bred and show Chihuahuas year 1996 after marrying a Finnish Chihuahua breeder Tuula Lehtinen-Cochetti (Misty Meadow’s Chihuahuas). Their co-operation has been successful and have created together a world famous line and have had numerous Champions and World Winners.
Francesco Cochetti became a judge in year 1993. His first breed was Poodles.
He has at the moment the right to judge all FCI 9 group (Toy and Companion dogs), all group 4 (Dachhounds) and almost all breeds from the group 3 (Terriers) and 10 (Sighthounds).
He is listed in Italian Kennel Club (ENCI) a specialist in the breeds he has bred, Poodles and Chihuahuas. He is also a teacher of these breeds to new judges.
Francesco Cochetti has judged in Italy, England, USA, Finland, Australia, Japan, Sweden, Belgium, France, Hungary, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Israel, Luxembourg, Germany, Iceland, Republic Of San Marino, Russia, Slovenia, Estonia, Poland, Ireland, Serbia, Spain, Lithuania, Slovakia, Portugal, Czech Republic and Latvia.
He has had the honor to judge the Standard Poodles at the World Winner Show 2000 in Italy and in 2006, Smooth Chihuahuas at the European Show 2008, the Smooth Chihuahuas in England. He has judged several National Specialties and Specialties in different Toydog breeds in Australia, USA, Sweden, Japan, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Israel, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany and Hungary.
He is at the moment the President of Rome Kennel Club.
